I had a TKR on Jan 19, 2022 performed by Dr. Rames. What a great doctor and surgeon. The entire staff in his office treats you like family. The surgery center still calls me every week to check on me. I would recommend Dr. Rames to anyone.
Dr. Richard Rames saved my life and my right leg. I could not thank him enough for listening to my symptoms and putting the pieces of the puzzle together to find out I had traumatic compartment syndrome and needed emergency surgery. And his NP, Rhonda is absolutely wonderful.
Dr. Lang and his staff are excellent, he performed surgery on my right thumb joint and I am happy with the results.
Dr. Wegman has been fantastic and 5 stars isn't enough. He is always very patient with me and Nikki his nurse is fantastic as well. I was impressed when at my first appointment an orthopedic surgeon himself was in the waiting room as a patient of Dr. Wegman's. He has a calm demeanor and runs an efficient practice. several family members have also been patients and also feel the same about him! My hip and knee replacements are great and I understand why others have said he is best at hip and knee replacements
I broke my ankle and had surgery in December. It was a pretty bad injury. Dr. Wegman and his associates are excellent! Extremely competent and professional. I cannot say enough good things about these highly skilled professionals!
Great doctor my wife had hip replacement...star 5 all the way
I happened to encounter these amazing surgeons due to a situation I came into the ED with. Dr. Rames dx me with Compartment Syndrome and I was rushed to the OR. I woke up in the ICU at St. Luke's Hospital and I was sure that when I removed the covers from my lower extremities, that I would no longer have a right leg or even just a right foot. I had both! It wasn't too long afterwards that Dr. Rames came in, re-introduced himself to me and walked me through what he had done and what I had done that might have caused this. I had an emergency fasciotomy (a limb saving procedure). Without that procedure, I could've suffered from severe muscle and tissue death and easily lost my leg. Dr. Rames was straight forward with me and still managed to keep a professional and warm bedside manner. It's been over a month now and I am finally home and we are working out a plan, together, to get me walking again. Yesterday 8/14/2017, I had all of the stitches removed from my closed incision on my right calf and I had three stitches on the bottom and three stitches on the top of my open incision removed. The decision was made to continue to leave the middle open on hopes it will come together on its own also. Anything to save me from another trip to the OR! Anyway, we are now in search of this special AFO boot or an equinus (sp?) boot that won't disrupt my current, open incision. I have played phone tag and spoken with Rhonda (the Nurse Practitioner for the office) more than I have spoken with my own parents this week! Rhonda is always great about returning my calls in a timely fashion and she isn't afraid to tell me if she doesn't know or is unsure about something and then she goes out of her way to find me a correct answer. Rhonda is an absolute angel on this earth. And I'm not even religious! Everyone in this practice seems to be the best of the best and they saved my life and my leg. Dr. Rames came and checked on me every day while I was in the hospital and he even called me at home about a week after I was back to see how I was adjusting and if there was anything he Could do to help me. It's a great group of people and I would recommend them to anyone! The reason I didn't give the fifth star, was due to the issue of finding this boot Dr. Rames wants me to have, that no one ca fin anywhere without it taking 4-6 weeks to manufacture! Lol! Once that is solved, I'll bump this up to a 5 Star Review!
Our family has seen Dr. Lang 3 times. His office is very efficient, he was very knowledgeable and explained our problems in ways we could understand and luckily all 3 injuries were minor.
I was in St. Louis for a few days to play golf with my college friends, where on the 9th hole i almost fainted and passed out.. I have known Dr. Rames for several years, and my college friend called Rich to tell him my problem and that I was at St. Lukes hospital.. I did not have an ortho issue and Dr. Ramos (on his own) investigated my issue and came to see me to make sure I was ok, and getting the proper diagnosis. THIS IS A TESTUNATE OF DR. RAMES CHARACTER AND CONCERN HE HAS TO GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP ME ... THANK YOU DR. RAMES
I have absolutely no regrets about going to Dr. Lang for my carpal tunnel surgery. It took a little bit of time to get in to see him but that's because he is so good. The consultation was right to the point. He explained what Carpel Tunnel was and my options. I was in surgery 5 days later. Right before they were going to take me into surgery he sat with me and went over everything again. I was nervous and he defiantly made it easy to put my trust in him. I can not express how glad I am that I did both hands at the same time. The first 3 days were a little hard but I also didn't take any of the pain killers that were scribed to me. Was there discomfort yes but nothing too bad. I was able to take care of myself in the bathroom. I am glad however that I had my wife there to just do little things that were difficult. All in all I am very thankful to Dr. Lang and his staff. My hands feel great. I don't even think I will be able to see a scar.
