Dr. Rames was born and raised in Vandalia, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Milliken University in 1979 and graduated from Rush Medical College in 1983 as a member of the AOA. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery internship and residency at Barnes Hospital and Washington University in 1988 and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Southern California in 1989. He was an assistant professor for the Washington University Department of Orthopedics until he entered private practice in 1990. He joined Woods Mill Orthopedics in 1999 and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopic Association of North America, and the St. Louis Medical Society. He is affiliated with St. Lukes Hospital.

Dr. Rames is the team physician for the Parkway Central Colts. His special interests include shoulder and knee surgery, joint replacement, and sports medicine.
